Science journalism to get impetus

His Excellency President of India has conferred the 3rd Rajiv Gandhi National Gyan Vigyan Award 2010-11 upon Dr. Manoj Kumar Patairiya, a well known scientist in science communication, in a function held in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on September 14, 2012 for his book on Science and Technology Communication (Vigyan Evam Praudyogiki Sanchar).

The award carries a Cash Prize of Rs. 75,000-, a Citation and Memento. The award is given away by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India to encourage original creative writing in the field of Science & Technology.
